How do I receive my SIM?
We ship your SIM via Us Postal Service or Canada Post. Please allow a 2-10 business day transit time.
Which countries will I be able to roam in using the Fonus service?
With Fonus, you may roam in the United States, Canada and Mexico. International roaming in over 200 countries and territories worldwide will be supported soon.
What type of SIM cards and eSIM do you support?
The Fonus SIM card is a 3-in-1 SIM card, coming in Standard, Micro, and Nano sizes. Unfortunately, we are only providing SIM cards at the moment. eSIM support will be available soon.
What happens if I use more than 20GB on my monthly cycle?
You will still have access to unlimited data, though speeds will be throttled to 512Kbps until your monthly cycle resets.
Will I be able to port my current mobile number to Fonus?
You will be able to port your existing number to Fonus if it's from the US or certain carriers in Canada. Unfortunately, you will not be able to port your existing number if it is from any country other than the US and Canada.
Are long-distance calls and texts included as well?
Yes, you will be able to call or text any landline or mobile number in over select countries and territories worldwide with no additional charges under the Fonus monthly plan.
Is there voicemail service?
Yes there is. Visual voicemail is also supported.
If I want to cancel my services, what do I do?
You may cancel your services at any time from your own portal and under settings. Or, you may contact customer service at any time.
What do I need to do to keep my services active?
Once you have activated your account, you will be set to auto-pay. Nothing else is required.
How long does it take to port or transfer my number to Fonus?
Porting a number to Fonus usually takes 48 to 72 hours, though sometimes it may take 3 to 5 business days, depending on which provider the number is ported from and on the information provided. If all of the proper information and documentation is provided accurately, it will speed up the porting process.
Can I use my Fonus SIM card in a hotspot or router?
At the current moment, Fonus does not support any sort of tethering or hotspotting. Nor can we provide the support for it.

In case of an emergency, what can we do?
If you're in the US e911 is supported. If you're in any other country, we advise you to use the native dialer to dial 911 or your local emergency number directly through your native phone app, not through the Fonus app. Be prepared to answer the call-taker's questions, which may include your current location, the nature of the emergency and details about the emergency.
