Congratulations! You have successfully activated your Fonus SIM card.
To finish setting up your Fonus service and start using it, please follow these steps:

Insert the Fonus SIM card into your phone. Make sure it is in slot #1 if you have a multi-SIM device.

Enable data roaming on your device settings. Your mobile data should work after this!*

Install the Fonus app through the links below and login using your email address as the username.

Choose a phone number and start calling & texting! To port your existing number, contact us via live chat.

Set Fonus as your default app to make all calls go automatically through Fonus (instructions below).
*It may a few minutes for the SIM to establish a connection for the first time it’s being used.
To set the Fonus app as the default calling app:
- On iPhone (iOS 18.2 or later):
Go to your device’s Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Calling, and then select ‘Fonus’. You may also set your default messaging app as Fonus (go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Messaging, and then select ‘Fonus’).
- On Android:
Open the Fonus app, then click on the three dots on the upper right corner and go to Settings > Preferences > Call Integration, and enable ‘Use system dialer integration (experimental)’. Then click on the Settings icon next to it and click on ‘Manage’, enable ‘Fonus’ and click on ‘Set as Default’.
*If you don’t see the option of ‘Use system dialer integration (experimental)’: Open the Fonus app, then click on the three dots on the upper right corner and go to Settings > Preferences > Call Integration > Outgoing Calls Redirection, click on ‘Grant call redirection rule’ and set it to ‘Fonus’. Enable “Place outgoing calls through”. Then set ‘Outgoing call behaviour’ as ‘Always’.
